Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in a signature mix. Her career path has taken her across Broadway to European concerts and festivals to even her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's given the name of Denise White. While she now lives in Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church, where she sang and was a pianist. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training on the Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You A House 12, was released only in Japan. The song has been remixed numerous times and it is a mainstay of her live shows. The Fighting Temptations was the other soundtrack she sang on. The year 2005 saw Tyler Perry hired her as his primary keyboardist for his stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as Choral Director of Dreamgirls the stage show at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally through her performances on four consecutive days in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2008 inauguration.
