Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She currently competes in the UFC Flyweight division. She is also the older sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ as well as co- UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as a Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina later won an award of Silver in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008, and a Golden medal in 2011, in the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia launched her professional career at the age of 23 in 2003. She has taken home numerous championships, including the K-1 World Championships Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimity. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She took the title with a TKO at the end of round 2. She then won her two subsequent bouts, both at WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. It gave her a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko was a dedicated kickboxer after which she took a lengthy absence of MMA. She was back in 2017, when she fought Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa by a majority vote and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. The league was dissolved in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized her strike skills in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign a UFC contract. Antonina was given an UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi via an undisputed split decision. Antonina recovered from her loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night reward in the fight. Shevchenko was 2-2 over her next three bouts she won over Ariane Lipski, while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
